When is the Summer Institute?
Friday, June 7, 2019.

Is there a cost to attend?
No. The event is free to NC State communicators.

What time is the event?
8:30 a.m to 4:00 p.m. with a post-event networking hour starting directly after.

Where is the event located?
The event will be held at the Talley Student Union on NC State’s Main Campus.

Is there parking available, and is it free?
Yes. However, you will need a campus permit. 

Will there be food?
Yes. Light refreshments will be provided at breakfast along with coffee and tea. A free buffet lunch will be served to all registered attendees. Dietary restrictions will be accommodated. 

Will you broadcast or livestream the event?
No. The event will not be broadcast. UCOMM will share available presentation slide decks with the StateComm Listserv after the event.

Is there a cap on the number of participants?
The Summer Institute is capped at 160 attendees. Each presentation session has its own cap of between 80 and 100 persons. The sessions will be first-come-first-serve.

Do I have to attend the full day?
We understand that some attendees may not be able to attend every session due to scheduling or conflicts. We do ask that you  attend a minimum of two sessions if you plan to register for the Institute.

Can I attend if I am not in a communications role?
We ask that attendees serve in some communications capacity in order to attend.

What is the deadline to register for the Summer Institute?
May 27 is the last day to register.
