Story Selection
Newswire users must select which stories they would like to appear on their site by adding them to their Newswire collection(s).
Stories within the Newswire can be viewed by clicking on “Posts” after logging in at newswire.ncsu.edu.
Filtering and Finding Stories
When the “Posts” page is first loaded, it displays all stories within the Newswire in reverse chronological order. This can be useful if you want to view recently published stories from across campus; however, you can use the search box and filter options on the left-hand side of the screen to narrow down the stories listed.
Selecting Stories to Republish
To republish a story on your own site, you will need to add it to a collection. If you haven’t already done so, you will need to have at least one collection available within your account.
When you see a story that you’d like to republish on your site, hover of the story with your mouse and then click on the red plus sign that appears. You will then be presented with a list of available collections. Select the collection(s) to which you’d like to add the story.
When the collection’s title turns green with a check, the story has been added to your collection. Your website should download the story within the next hour.
