Below are step-by-step instructions for creating and publishing an audio recording of your name when adding your profile to a page. This is an optional feature within the NC State People plugin<\/a>. You’ll find it when adding yourself as a new person under the “People” settings in your college or department site’s admin dashboard, after the NC State People plugin has been installed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Click the NameCoach link<\/a> found under the “Name Pronunciation” setting and fill out the form, which will ask for your personal information. You don’t need to create a YouTube video to record your name. If you’d also like to record a video sharing your name story, that’s entirely optional, in addition to the audio recording of your name.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. You’ll be asked to provide an audio recording of your name. Choose one of three options: “Phone,” “Web Recorder” or “Uploader.” Once you’ve recorded your name, preview it by clicking the play icon. You can redo the recording as many times as you’d like until you’re satisfied with the result, then click submit.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. You’ll receive a link to your recording, as shown here:<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    1. Copy the audio link and return to the “People” settings in your site’s admin dashboard. Insert the link next to the globe icon, as shown here:<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      1. Finish the remaining steps in the “People” settings in your site’s admin dashboard.
