Posts are traditionally used when writing blog entries, news articles or any style of publication where stories are presented in a succession over time. By default, Posts appear in reverse chronological order on a WordPress site\u2019s homepage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Posts are different from Pages in that they are not intended to display static elements to communicate information to site visitors (such as a homepage or an \u201cAbout\u201d page). Instead, Posts should be used to deliver  news stories and timely articles. (For information on Pages, see <a href=\"https:\/\/university-communications.ncsu.edu\/documentation\/creating-pages\/\">Creating Pages<\/a>.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How To Create a Post<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Posts are created through the back end of WordPress via the Dashboard.
