This is a practice page.<\/strong> The fictional sample content below has three heading mistakes on purpose. Open the Base training’s Heading Structure<\/a> task, find each mistake, and then check your answers in the answer key at the bottom of the page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n

Thinking about visiting the Example Department? Here’s what you need to know before you arrive, from booking a tour to finding a place to park.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Plan Your Visit<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Department tours run on weekdays and start in our main office. Each tour takes about an hour and includes our labs and student spaces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tours fill up fast, so book yours at least two weeks ahead!<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Space on each tour is limited. Groups of 10 or more should contact our main office directly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Parking<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Visitors can park in any lot marked for visitors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Visitor Lots<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The closest visitor lot is a short walk from our building. Directions are included in your tour confirmation email.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. The first heading is an H3.<\/strong> “Plan Your Visit” is a main section, so it should be an H2. Body headings start at H2, because the page title is the only H1.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. A heading level is skipped.<\/strong> “Visitor Lots” is an H4 directly under the H2 “Parking”. It should be an H3.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. A heading is used because of how it looks.<\/strong> “Tours fill up fast\u2026” is a sentence, not a section title. Screen reader users who jump between headings hear it as a section of the page. Make it a regular paragraph, and use bold text if it needs attention.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
