This functionality can be used to build individual team and research group pages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Data Sources<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The plugin integrates with the campus directory and syncs basic contact information from that directory. This information can be supplemented with additional information. An individual can also be manually added in the NC State People plugin if they do not have an entry in the main campus directory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To ensure that information is up-to-date across all campus websites and services, it is recommended that individuals <a href=\"https:\/\/ncsu.service-now.com\/sp?id=kb_article_view&amp;sysparm_article=KB0018131\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/ncsu.service-now.com\/sp?id=kb_article_view&amp;sysparm_article=KB0018131\">update their campus directory information<\/a> within their MyPack Portal rather than overriding the campus directory\u2019s information within your profile.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The plugin also integrates with <a href=\"https:\/\/ci.lib.ncsu.edu\/\">ORCHID<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lib.ncsu.edu\/news\/orcid%3A-the-number-that-every-academic-needs\">an industry standard system for managing research information and publications<\/a>, to show an individual&#8217;s published research.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Managing Profiles<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Individuals listed within a site&#8217;s directory can optionally manage their own profile pages. The site administrator chooses if each individual should manage their profile or if all profiles will be managed through an alternate process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The site administrator will need to manually add and remove individuals from the site&#8217;s directory.
