The Marketing Communications team brings together experts in all the communication disciplines: strategists, project coordinators, videographers, photographers, designers, writers and developers. We build campaigns that bridge the digital and the physical — and show the world what “Think and Do” means.
Creative Services executes strategic and creative development of marketing communications that support NC State University and its many units. This group also maintains the university’s brand and style guidelines. Creative Services works with the other University Communications and Marketing teams to provide campus peers with integrated communication solutions that include creation and consultation on web and digital communications, writing, editing and proofreading, marketing strategy, design, video and photography.
Marketing leads development and execution of NC State’s brand strategy. Working with Web Communications and Creative Services, we create mass-market campaigns that merge television, radio, print and web outlets; targeted efforts that influence key NC State audiences; and joint projects with campus partners that raise the profile of NC State units and the university itself.
Web and Digital Strategy
The Web and Digital Strategy team provides leadership and strategic direction for NC State’s overall Web and Social Media presences. We operate the university’s homepage, second-level pages and various elements of the university’s enterprise website, in addition to several other sites that support the university’s strategic marketing and communication goals. The Web team also provides assistance, support, coordination and strategic consultation for digital communications throughout the university.
Assistant Vice Chancellor, Marketing Communications
Mark provides leadership, direction and vision for the marketing team within University Communications and Marketing. He develops strategic partnerships across the university to elevate the NC State brand.
Creative Director, Marketing Communications
Mark leads creative direction for top-level university marketing communications projects and programs that directly support the university’s strategic plan and brand platform. He also draws cartoons.
Senior Director, Web and Digital Strategy
Luis serves as the university’s lead digital strategist, focusing on integrating digital strategy with results-based web marketing execution.
Director, Marketing Strategy and Client Services
April leads the university’s marketing strategy team which helps develop, initiate and execute marketing communications, advertising, strategy and initiatives centrally and for partners across campus.
