University Communications and Marketing builds positive relationships between NC State University and its many constituents through strategic internal and external communications that convey the university’s brand identity. Our administrative team performs the behind-the-scenes tasks that make University Communications and Marketing function seamlessly and efficiently.
What We Do
- Strategic vision and oversight
The chief communications officer provides strategic direction and vision for University Communications and Marketing. - Facilities and technology management
The unit oversees the building and technology needs of University Communications and Marketing, from computers and printers to door locks and office space. - Financial and budget operations
Payment, billing, budgeting, and tracking and allocating resources are part of this team’s core responsibilities.

The CCMO serves as the university’s chief communications officer and leads the University Communications and Marketing team, which includes Marketing Communications, University Relations and Administration.

Alissa serves as the departmental operations manager, overseeing finance and facilities functions for University Communications and Marketing.

Tiffani Sherman
Operations Coordinator
Tiffani assists the business manager with day-to-day financial transactions for University Communications and Marketing. She provides administrative, programmatic and financial support for UComm leadership and staff. She also serves as WolfTime administrator and acts as the building liaison and CAMS coordinator for Butler Communications building occupants.
