Paragraph Block

There isn’t much to a paragraph block, but it plays an important role nonetheless within your web pages. The bulk of your content will be within paragraph blocks.

Basic formatting options are available. Those options include:

• Bolding
• Italicizing
• Hyperlinking
• Adding superscripts and subscripts

The text can also be left, center, and right aligned; however, the default of left alignment should almost always be used.

Functionality Found Elsewhere

Several types of formatting that would normally fit within a paragraph are actually separate blocks within Gutenberg. Those additional blocks include:

• Lists (bulleted and numbered)
• Headings
• Images

There are also additional block types that can supplement content within paragraphs. Those include:

• Buttons
• Link Lists
• Accordions

Additional Functionality

The Paragraph block also supports immediate YouTube video embeds by simply pasting in the URL of a YouTube video.
