Email Signup Block

Use Cases

An effective way for content creators to ensure repeat visitors to their site, is through the use of an email signup. Whether that be for a monthly newsletter, quarterly departmental updates, or some other specific need, the Email Signup block offers site maintainers a way for them to intake user emails while having the visual appeal of an easy to use, stylish block.

Features

In Gutenberg, adding an Email Signup block to a page is as easy as clicking the “Add a block” button and choosing “Email Signup” from the block list. Alternatively, the block can be found by using the “Search for a block” function. For more info on blocks and adding them to a WordPress site, see our documentation on blocks.

NOTE: Before adding an Email Signup block to a page or post, the Gravity Forms plugin must be installed and the components of the form must be built using the “Forms” section within WordPress. For more information on Gravity Forms and building forms, read our Gravity Forms documentation.

Once added, the Email Signup block is simple to setup. From the “Select a Form” drop down menu, creators will choose any of the pre-made forms that are available to them.

After choosing the form, the Email Signup block allows for customization to the heading, teaser text, input field, and also the background color of the block through the right-hand side menu.
