Help your users navigate your longer webpages with ease. Mitigate the need for scrolling and help them quickly find what they need.

We’re excited to announce the launch of the Table of Contents block. The introduction of this feature coincides with the launch of v.4.8 of the NC State Theme. With this block, you can now add a dynamic Table of Contents to your pages with ease. Making navigation simple and intuitive for your audience.

Key Features

  • Anchor links: The Table of Contents block allows you to get more out of your page’s heading structure. Headings with anchor links seamlessly tie back to the block, allowing users to easily navigate to specific sections of a page.
  • Automatic heading detection: The Table of Contents block recognizes where on your page you have placed headings. It then takes those headings, and organizes them in a table of contents with the click of a button.
  • Improved accessibility: The Table of Contents block can aid those users utilizing screen readers or keyboard navigation. Screen readers can use the Table of Contents block to skip directly to desired sections. While keyboard users can tab through the links for faster navigation.
  • Improved SEO: The links within the Table of Contents block create anchor points within the page. Search engines can index these anchor points, potentially earning “jump-to” links in search results. This improves visibility on search engines while providing a better browsing experience.
