This version of the NC State Theme adds a new block to spotlight button-based calls to action. It also begins the role out of our Smart Search functionality within the utility bar, improves academic program sorting, and expands the use of anchor links within blocks.
Button Spotlight Block: Introducing the Button Spotlight block—a new way to create calls to action with an icon, complementing the existing spotlight blocks.
Smart Search: A new Smart Search feature is available with a toggle in the Utility Bar section of the theme settings.
Anchor Links for Blocks: You can now add anchors to most theme blocks, making it easier to link directly to specific content on your page.
Academic Program Sorting: Sort academic programs by degree type on the archive page for better organization and usability.
Quality of Life Enhancements
Accordion Block IDs: Updated the Accordion block to no longer rely on instance IDs for its block ID.
People Add-on Compatibility: Improved compatibility by adding manage options capability for add-on settings pages.
Analytics Dashboard Widget Fix: Corrected a misspelled word in the analytics section of the NC State Theme dashboard widget.
Typography Update: Refreshed design system typography, with size adjustments for most text.
RSS Feed Updates: Improved the RSS feed functionality for the announcements section.
Icon Optimization: Updated and optimized icons for better performance and consistency.
Bug Fixes
Back to Top Button: Fixed JavaScript errors caused by the Back to Top button.
Sidebar Filters: Resolved an issue where filters were missing from the left-hand sidebar for posts and resources.
Email Form Submit Button: Corrected the display issue with the submit button in footer and block email forms.
Slate Form Styling: Adjusted background styling for Slate Form embeds in the split content container.
Category Callout: Fixed the missing source dropdown in the Category Callout block.
