Use Cases

The Timeline block is a styled list that grants site maintainers the option to build a custom timeline on their posts. Maintainers add dates and descriptions through its “Add an entry” feature, and can apply styling at the start and end of the timeline to signal the beginning or conclusion of a specific period. Use it to outline a timeframe, such as a project’s history or a program’s milestones.

Features

To add a Timeline block, click the “Add a block” button and choose “Timeline” from the block list. Content maintainers can also find the block using the “Search for a block” function. For more on blocks, see our documentation on blocks.

Once added, choose your “Endpoint Settings” from the Block settings menu. Use the “Add an entry” button to add more entries, each with a date and description.
